Aims and Scope
The Cambodian Journal of Education, Management, and Development (CJEMD) is a peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and scholarship in the fields of education, management, and development, with a particular focus on Cambodia and the broader Southeast Asian region—while maintaining a global perspective.
The journal provides a platform for researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers to publish high-quality original research, case studies, reviews, and theoretical articles that address contemporary issues, challenges, and innovations in education, leadership, and community development. The journal aims to:
- Promote research that enhances educational practices, policies, and systems.
- Encourage the exploration of management practices that foster organizational growth, efficiency, and innovation.
- Support the discourse on sustainable development with an emphasis on socioeconomic, cultural, and environmental aspects in the Cambodian and global context.
- Facilitate dialogue between academic research and practical applications, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
- Encourage interdisciplinary approaches combining insights from education, management, and development studies.
CJEMD welcomes articles grounded in empirical and theoretical research, including fieldwork and experimental studies based on development project implementation aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The journal is especially interested in contributions that introduce new perspectives in education, management, and development and examine their implications for development processes. Priority is given to the following SDG goals:
- Goal 1: End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
- Goal 2: End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.
- Goal 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
- Goal 4: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
- Goal 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
