1. Responsibilities of Authors

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must submit original work and appropriately cite sources. Plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification are strictly prohibited.
  • Authorship: Only those who significantly contributed to the research should be listed as authors. All authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.
  • Acknowledgment of Funding: Authors must disclose all sources of financial support for the study.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their work.

2. Responsibilities of Editors

  • Impartiality: Editorial decisions are based solely on the manuscript's academic merit, relevance, and originality, regardless of the authors' gender, ethnicity, or affiliations.
  • Confidentiality: Editors must maintain confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and ensure the integrity of the double-blind peer review process.
  • Conflict of Interest: Editors must recuse themselves from processing manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest.
  • Retraction and Corrections: Editors are responsible for retracting articles with significant errors or ethical breaches and issuing corrections when necessary.

3. Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential.
  • Constructive Feedback: Reviews should provide detailed, constructive, and unbiased feedback to improve the manuscript.
  • Timeliness: Reviewers must submit evaluations within the agreed timeframe.
  • Conflict of Interest: Reviewers should decline assignments where conflicts of interest exist.

4. Responsibilities of the Publisher

  • CJEMD ensures ethical publishing practices by:
    • Maintaining academic integrity in all published works.
    • Investigating and addressing allegations of misconduct, including plagiarism or ethical violations.
    • Supporting the editorial board in publishing corrections, retractions, or clarifications when necessary.
